When I think of NASCAR I think of the early days of stock car racing in which the cars looked just like what dad drove (mom didn't have her license until later). Watching those Oldsmobiles, Studebackers, Hudsons, Chevys and Fords careening around the ovals at over 100 miles an hour was thrilling, mostly because you could imagine mom, uncle Freddy or your big brother out there risking life and limb!
These days, the cars are all just rolling billboards with little resemblence to what I would drive.
Does anyone else wish NASCAR still raced production vehicles?
